Birthday Cakes

I believe birthday cakes are the easiest way to get started. If you have any interest in cake decorating, start with birthday cakes. For one reason, if you totally screw it up, you'll get another chance next year! Don't start with wedding cakes...too much stress to complete "the happiest day of their lives" expectations. Another good reason, most people come to a birthday party expecting to have a piece of cake, no matter how it looks. So make sure it tastes good! It can have puke green icing with crumbs running all through it and writing that looks like a preschoolers, but as long as it tastes good, you'll have no worries!
